Lake Havasu City celebrates the completion of ADOT’s State Route 95 Pavement Project, that replaced a 26-mile section of SR 95 between SARA Park and Interstate 40.
To commemorate the momentous occasion, the public is invited to attend a ribbon cutting, hosted by Lake Havasu City through the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee, next Friday, June 28th, at 8:00 a.m. at SARA Park, in the upper parking lot of Field #7.
The City appreciates the efforts at the legislative level and the work ADOT put in to enhance our most critical roadway.
“This project would not have been possible without the legislative leadership of Senator Sonny Borrelli, Representative Leo Biasiucci, Representative John Gillette, and former Representative Regina Cobb, and their persistence in securing funding at the State level so that we can enjoy a smoother and safer commute in and out of Lake Havasu City,” said Mayor Cal Sheehy. “We especially thank ADOT for the great job they did in limiting the impact and minimizing the effect for all our citizens during the project; including working in the evenings to the early mornings and providing safe work zones throughout the process.”
“I remember a few years ago, looking at the ten-year plan for ADOT when they did not have any funding or plans identified for SR 95.  That was unacceptable.  Thankfully, Representative Biasiucci and Senator Borrelli stepped up and fought for Lake Havasu City,” said City Manager Jess Knudson.
