Hospice Professionals in Lake Havasu City Receive National Honor
PHOENIX –Science Care, the world’s largest accredited whole body donation program, recently honored the top 10 Hospice Heroes in the United States, selected for upholding the highest standards while caring for the terminally ill.
Among the 10 honorees are two hospice professionals from Lake Havasu City – Audrey Fuller; Clinical Services Director of Hospice of Havasu, and Chaplain Kathy Kenney of River Valley Home Health & Hospice.
Fuller remarked that while she is grateful to have been nominated, the honor is not hers alone. “I am truly blessed to work for an organization where all staff works as a team, and supports one another on a daily basis.” Fuller has worked for Hospice of Havasu since 2006.
The mission of hospice care is to provide team-oriented approach of expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support to patients at the end of life. Care is tailored to the patients’ wishes. Emotional and spiritual support also is extended to the family and loved ones.
