On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at approximately 8:52 a.m., bystanders reported that a male juvenile had jumped from London Bridge and had not resurfaced. Witnesses observed the juvenile go underwater, briefly resurface, and then submerge once again.
Upon arrival, personnel from the Lake Havasu City Police and Fire Departments began an extensive search of the shoreline and surrounding waters. Civilian boat operators assisted first responders by providing vessels in support of the search-and-rescue efforts. A Lake Havasu City Fire Department crew member entered the water with lakeshore rescue equipment and conducted an underwater search in the area.
At approximately 9:12 a.m., the juvenile was located underwater and found to be unresponsive. Police and Fire Department personnel worked together to remove him from the water and transfer him onto a boat where life-saving measures and advanced life support emergency care were immediately initiated. The juvenile was then transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The incident remains under active investigation by the Lake Havasu City Police Department. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and can be appropriately disclosed.
