Road Rage Incident Leads to Shooting Arrest
On September 26, 2026, at approximately 10:17 p.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to the area of Acoma Boulevard North and McCulloch Boulevard North in reference to a reported road-rage incident and possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers located both vehicles involved in the incident and contacted multiple occupants.
The investigation determined that, shortly before the initial call, a male and a female had been involved in a verbal altercation in the 1600 block of McCulloch Boulevard North. During the altercation, occupants of another vehicle began yelling at the male and female. The male and female subsequently followed the other vehicle at a high rate of speed through several city streets. At one point during the incident, the male retrieved a firearm and fired multiple rounds at the other vehicle, striking the rear tailgate. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the shooting.
As the investigation continued, officers determined that the male had discarded the firearm from the vehicle. Officers later located and recovered the firearm.
As a result of the investigation, the male and female were arrested and identified as 31-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada, resident Malachi Walls and 27-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada, resident Jasmine Walls. Malachi Walls was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct with a weapon, discharging a firearm within city limits, false reporting to law enforcement, four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of endangerment, criminal damage, and drive-by shooting. Jasmine Walls was arrested on charges of false reporting to law enforcement, criminal speed, reckless driving, hindering prosecution, four counts of endangerment, and facilitation.
Both subjects appeared in court following their arrests. Malachi Walls was issued an $11,500 secured bond and was transported to the Mohave County Detention Facility. Jasmine Walls was issued a $10,000 secured bond and released after posting it.
