Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, a component of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been conducting an ongoing investigation into allegations of illegal drug sales occurring throughout Lake Havasu City.
As part of the investigation, detectives obtained an approved search warrant for a residence in the 1000 block of Richey Circle, and surveillance of the residence was initiated. On September 24, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., while under surveillance and prior to the search warrant being served by the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s SWAT team, detectives observed the suspect leave the residence in a vehicle. The detectives followed the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, which resulted in a short pursuit. The vehicle eventually pulled to the side of the road, and the subject was detained without incident.
Subsequently, the SWAT team served the search warrant at the residence, during which one female was detained. The investigation identified the male who left the location as 44-year-old Lake Havasu City resident John Robertson, and the female was identified as 41-year-old Jennifer Robertson. John Robertson has been charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container in a vehicle, and failure to yield to a law enforcement vehicle, while Jennifer Robertson has been charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. During their initial court appearances, both subjects were held on a $25,000 secured bond and transported to the Mohave County Detention Facility pending further proceedings.
