UPDATE

The juvenile was transported by air to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, yesterday afternoon for further medical treatment. The Lake Havasu City Police Department was notified early this morning that the juvenile had succumbed to his injuries.

Original Release

On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at approximately 8:52 a.m., bystanders reported a male juvenile had jumped from the London Bridge and had not resurfaced. Witnesses reported seeing the juvenile go underwater, briefly resurface, and then go underwater again. Upon arrival, Lake Havasu City Police and Fire Department personnel initiated a search of the shoreline and surrounding waters. Civilian boat operators assisted first responders by providing vessels to support search-and-rescue efforts. A Lake Havasu City Fire Department crew member entered the water with lakeshore rescue equipment and conducted an underwater search of the area.

At approximately 9:12 a.m., the juvenile was located underwater and found to be unresponsive. Police and Fire personnel worked together to remove him from the water and onto a boat, where life-saving measures and advanced life support emergency care were immediately initiated. The juvenile was subsequently transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

The incident remains under active investigation by the Lake Havasu City Police Department. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and can be appropriately disclosed.
