E-Bike Fire

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, the Lake Havasu Police Department reported a garage fire in the 3400 block of Oro Grande Drive. The first-arriving fire company observed smoke coming from the garage, with no active fire visible. Two engine companies and a battalion chief responded and determined that an E-bike battery had ignited inside the garage, activating the residential fire sprinkler system. The sprinkler system successfully extinguished the fire. The occupants were home at the time of the incident and safely evacuated the residence.

Fire crews remained on scene for approximately one hour to ensure the fire had not extended to other areas of the residence and to safely isolate the damaged E-bike battery.
