Rangers seek the public’s help to identify the victim of an August 28 assault case

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – U.S. Park Rangers of Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Special Agents with the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch (ISB) are seeking information from the public to identify a male assault victim. This information may assist with other ongoing investigations.

Park rangers say that on the evening of August 28, 2022, an adult male was violently assaulted by a group of individuals while camping with his family near the shoreline of Lake Mohave’s Nelson’s Landing area, approximately 30 miles south of Boulder City, NV. The victim is described as a Hispanic male between 25-35 years old and 200-250 pounds and his injuries would have required medical intervention.

Information from visitors is often very helpful to investigators. If you have information that could help identify the victim or information about the assault, please contact the ISB.
