Laughlin Constable Jordan Ross announced his intention to run for a new term in a press release Monday. “The residents of Laughlin have been very supportive of the unique role as constable I’ve built with my staff and volunteers over the last decade and I’m asking for your continued support in the next election,” Ross said.

“Serving Laughlin as Constable is the best thing I’ve ever done with my life as a citizen,” said Constable Ross. “My continued promise to you is to have a Constable’s Office that you can be proud of, that goes beyond the bare minimum to always try and do more and to see the human being behind every face in our township, not just a name and a case number. Offering a helping hand to people in need remains job number one”

“I have 11 years of proven civil law enforcement experience and management. I currently serve on the Board of Trustees of the National Constables and Marshals Association as well as serving as the Chair of the Southern Nevada Rural Constable’s Alliance.

In Clark County, Constables are peace officers. They serve processes, warrants and other court orders.  However, Ross has also developed the office to inform local residents about available community services and resources, including through informative town halls, and has provided ombudsman assistance to those unsure of which government or non-government agency can help them.

“My most valuable and precious treasure, my wife, Linda, and I have been married for 37 years and nothing makes me feel more confident in my re-election than her support. I hope that each of you will join us, and I sincerely ask for your continued trust, support, and faith as I lead our Constable’s Office. I also humbly ask for your support and vote in the upcoming election,” said Constable Ross.
