Laughlin, Nevada | Golden Entertainment, the parent company of the Colorado Belle has made a statement to the Las Vegas Review Journal that the layoff of its 400 employees was “indefinitely”. Charles Protell, Chief Financial Officer and President goes on to say, “The significant economic impact from the governor’s ordered closure of our industry and continued uncertainty of when we will be allowed to fully resume operations has caused us to make the difficult decision to extend layoffs indefinitely for approximately 400 team members at the Colorado Belle in Laughlin”.  Golden Entertainment had just completed their purchase of the Colorado Belle and Edgewater Casino in January of 2019 for 190 million dollars.

Golden Entertainment did make note that they are not actively looking to sell the property but instead will evaluate its financial state of being once the economy opens back up.
