Local High School Marching Band Heads to State Finals

Making the cut at the state semifinal competition on November 6, 2021 in Gilbert, Arizona, the Lee Williams High School Marching Band is heading to the Arizona Band & Orchestra Directors Association’s State Marching Band Championship for the first time in the school’s history.

The 2021 state finals will be held Saturday, November 20 at Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona. The Pride of Volunteers Band will present its 2021 competition show, “From Ashes, We Rise”. The top bands from across Arizona in four divisions will be adjudicated on music performance, visual performance, general effect, percussion and auxiliary by a panel of distinguished judges from around the country.

Under the direction of Ms. Shannon Bascombe, the LWHS Band has received high ratings and countless caption awards this marching season. Kingman Unified School District and our community is extremely proud of the growth and dedication of the Lee Williams High School musicians.
