BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – December 1, 2021 – The Bureau of Reclamation will be lowering the Colorado River water level to ½ units throughout the month of December. Beginning Monday, December 6, 2021, the water released from Davis Dam will be reduced during most weekdays until the end of the month. The low water levels will allow crews to work on the new bridge project, boat ramp project, ongoing pest abatement of the nuisance caddisfly population, and other general maintenance on park launches and docks.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the low river levels during the month to do maintenance on their own property and docks. All river users should be aware that these lower than normal river flows may expose or create natural hazards or other unfamiliar obstacles. Daily and hourly information on releases from Reclamation’s Colorado River dams is available at www.usbr.gov/lc/riverops.html.
