LAUGHLIN–National Night Out is held across the nation in August. However, with the heat index screaming above 110, officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Laughlin Substation have taken that into consideration and have announced their NNO will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Spirit Mountain Activity Center Community Park.

Searchlight will hold their NNO on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Searchlight Community Park.

The move, said Metro officials, will be consistent with their other area commands as well as coincide with Bullhead City Police Department’s NNO in October.

The event will feature food, fun and games for all ages.
