Marinus (Mike) Allen Brouws was born March 27, 1961 in Bellflower, California to William and Nancy Brouws. He passed away April 21, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 59. After serving in the United States Army, he made Bullhead City, Arizona his home base although he relocated to various states and cities throughout his adult life. Mike had a zest for life, characterized by his smile, infectious laugh, and dynamic personality; he had a knack for meeting and making friends with all kinds of people. In particular, he was proud of his sobriety, and his heart was in reaching out to those in need wherever they happened to be in life so they could join him in sobriety. He had a never-ending passion for the still-suffering addict. He loved the Colorado River, monster trucks, his NA family and sister in recovery Ellen, his daughter/best friend Paris, and enjoying what each day had to offer. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy (Senesac) Upton and William (Bill) Brouws. He is survived by his daughter, Paris Brouws, and siblings, William Brouws, Carolyn (Rory) Hannasch and Lorrie (Rick) Duggins. Additionally, he is survived by his awesome NA family, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. We will invite you to celebrate his life at the Rotary Park Big Cabana and Fire Pit by the non-motorized boat launch, 2315 Balboa Drive, in Bullhead City, AZ as soon as Covid-19 restrictions allow.
