BULLHEAD CITY–In preparation of next weekend’s inaugural Laughlin River Regatta, fencing can be seen along Highway 95 near Davis Camp and Community Park.

According to a release from the City of Bullhead, Marnell Gaming has hired contractors to install fencing in and around several Bullhead City Parks ahead of the River Regatta next Saturday. The installation started this week so the project could be completed by next Friday.

Residents and visitors will still have free access to Community Park from now until next Saturday, noted the release.

There will be closures on Saturday, August 11 for the Regatta.

Community Park will be closed on Saturday, August 11 only from sunrise until the safety zone collapses south of the park around 3 p.m. Once the safety zone has moved past Community Park, the public will have access to the entire river north of the Community Park.

However, Rotary Park will be limited to River Regatta participants for most of the day on Saturday, August 11.

The City will also be closing other street access points and rights of ways to ensure a safe float.

All fencing, the fencing installation, fencing removal and security are being provided by Marnell Gaming.

The City appreciates your understanding and cooperation in these matters. Bullhead City takes pride in offering free access to the Colorado River at Community Park, Rotary Park and the Colorado River Nature Center throughout the year.

Anyone who desires free access to Colorado River on Saturday, August 11 during the Regatta can go to the Colorado River Nature Center. Full and free access to Community Park and Rotary Park will be offered all day on Friday, August 10 and Sunday, August 12.

I noticed that several traffic signals are being that fence; where is that location? The only upcoming signals I’m aware of are where the Laughlin Ranch/Hwy intersection will be.
