Mudshark Brewery in Lake Havasu City, AZ is partnering with Mohave Community College to create not only a great locally brewed beer, but also a means of generating funding for local athletic programs.  This past January the MCC board received a donation of $300,000 from the BHHS Legacy Foundation to help the college launch the NJCAA soccer teams. Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, MCC’s President said no property tax money would be used to get the programs up and running, and he has a goal for the programs to be financially self-sustaining in the long-term. This new partnership with Mudshark Brewery will help to continue to create the funding needed to sustain these college level athletics throughout our County. The new brew is being named “Bighorn Sporting Lager”, in reference to the school’s mascot.  “This is an exciting venture we are getting involved with because we love our community, and want our local athletes to find the level of play they need to want to stay and play here for years to come”, said Scott Stocking, owner of Mudshark Brewery.
