Missing person found deceased near stranded vehicle

On Sunday (2/23), the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue responded to a residence in Stagecoach Trails in Yucca, Arizona to search for Constance Greene, a 74-year-old female, who had previously been reported missing in her vehicle the day prior. She was last seen early Thursday (2/20) morning, after returning from an out-of-state funeral service for her husband by a neighbor, as he dropped her off at her home. The neighbor went to check on her Friday and she and her 2012 Silver Toyota Camry were not at home. He checked again on her Saturday and was unable to locate her. After conferring with family and receiving historical cell phone and banking information, search teams began a route and location search from her home to attempt to find the vehicle. Search and rescue requested air support to assist the search and Guardian Air Angel 4 helicopter joined the search effort. A ground search team located the vehicle stranded in a wash, but she was not in the vehicle. Teams began a grid search in the area and located her about a third of a mile from her vehicle and she had passed away. The body was conveyed by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office, who will perform an exam and determine the cause of death. Next of kin was notified. Our condolences are with the family at this time.
