MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College’s MC4 Computer Club is hosting its Technology Recycling Drive from 8:00 a.m. – noon, Saturday, April 22 at the City of Kingman Public Works Yard, 3700 E. Andy Devine Ave. People are encouraged to discard their old or broken computers and technology devices. Items that will be accepted include computer components, recorders, MP3 players, video players, DVD/VHS players, digital cameras, radios, telephones and printers.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to bring their discarded technology for recycling. Our MC4 students are happy to assist anyone who wants their hard drive destroyed or given back to them to safeguard their personal data,” said Michael Gaffney, MC4 Computer Club advisor. During the 2021 spring recycle drive, the club and city collected over 20,000 pounds of computers, printers and other old technology to be recycled. The drive drew over 100 people looking to recycle their old technology. MC4 Computer Club members will also assist with removing hard drives from computers.

The event is a collaboration with MCC’s MC4 Computer Club and the City of Kingman Public Works Department. For more information, contact Michael Gaffney, MC4 club advisor for the Kingman chapter at MGaffney@mohave.edu. The college is currently enrolling students in summer and fall semesters.  Those interested in attending the college should start by visiting Mohave.edu/EnrollNow. Applying to become an MCC student is free, and student services employees will assist everyone through the application and enrollment process. Tuition assistance is also available.
