STING OPERATION UPDATE

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has been conducting undercover sting operations around Mohave County for the past several years. The operation targets individuals who are using the internet to lure minors for sexual exploitation. Since these operations began, 35 individuals have been arrested. In an effort to promote transparency, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office would like to update the community of the outcome of some of these arrests.

William Leonard Branch, 25 of Kingman, was arrested on January 14, 2021 for Aggravated Luring of a Minor under the age of 15 for Sexual Exploitation, Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor under the age of 15, Attempted Involving or Using Minors in a Drug Offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Branch pled guilty to Luring of a Minor under the age of 15 for Sexual Exploitation and Attempted Sexual Conduct
with a Minor under the age of 15 and received 5 years confinement in the Arizona Department of Corrections and 8 years of Supervised Probation.

Quinton Anthony Edwards, 25 of Golden Valley, was arrested on March 11, 2020 for six counts of Luring of a Minor under the age of 15 for Sexual Exploitation, two counts of Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor under the age of 15, and one count of Aggravated Luring of a Minor under the age of 15 for Sexual Exploitation, all felonies. Edwards pled guilty to two counts of Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor under the age of 15 and received 180 days confinement in the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility and must register as a sex offender for 15 years.

Corbin John Grizzel, 25 of Golden Valley, was arrested on March 9, 2020 for three counts of Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor under the age of 15. Grizzel pled guilty to one count of Attempted Furnishing Obscene or Harmful Items to a Minor and receive 3 years of Supervised Probation.

Robert Angel Flores, 28 of Kingman, was arrested on January 22, 2020 for Luring a Minor Under the age of Fifteen for Sexual Exploitation and Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor, both felonies. Flores pled guilty to one count of felony Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor under the age of 15 and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office previously advised of other individuals who were sentenced for similar crimes during these sting operations. Of those convicted, sentences ranged from 31 years confinement in Arizona Department of Corrections to supervised probation. The remaining 5 individuals arrested during these sting operations have not been convicted and their cases are still pending.
