MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (February 19, 2026) – District 5 Mohave County Supervisor Ron Gould has directed opioid settlement funds obtained from the nationwide lawsuit against opioid manufacturers and distributors to support residents struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, ensuring access to treatment resources for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.
Supervisor Gould partnered with Teen Challenge, a faith-based residential recovery program with a long-standing presence in Arizona, to make these funds available to District 5 residents seeking recovery without financial barriers. Teen Challenge employs a holistic, long-term residential approach to addiction recovery that addresses the physical, mental, and spiritual components of substance use disorder. The program emphasizes personal accountability, counseling, life-skills development, and structured support in a substance-free environment.
“These settlement funds were intended to help communities heal from the damage caused by the opioid crisis,” said Supervisor Ron Gould. “By partnering with Teen Challenge, we are providing District 5 residents with an opportunity to pursue real, lasting recovery through a program that treats the whole person.”
Residents of District 5 who are struggling with addiction—or who have loved ones in need of help—are encouraged to explore this treatment option and take the first step toward recovery.
