BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – October 11, 2022 – The Bullhead City Police Department is investigating a motorcycle versus pedestrian accident. On Monday, October 10 at 7:20 p.m., emergency crews were called to a crash at Highway 95 and Third Street.

A 67-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a northbound motorcycle and was pronounced deceased on scene. The motorcyclist, 57-year-old Randy Jay Coffelt of Bullhead City, was transported by paramedics to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. No one else was involved in the accident.

The pedestrian, who police believe was a transient, was reportedly walking across the highway not in a crosswalk. Witnesses reported that a vehicle had to swerve to avoid hitting the pedestrian right before the collision.

The name of the pedestrian will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
