LAKE HAVASU CITY–A 60-year-old woman died Monday night after reportedly being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Kiowa Boulevard North and Date Palm Drive.
Lake Havasu Police spokesman Sgt. Tom Gray said officers responded to the area shortly after 8 p.m. for a report of a collision involving a passenger car and two motorcycles.
A Subaru Cross Trek, driven by a 24-year-old woman from Flagstaff, was reportedly traveling eastbound on Kiowa Boulevard North when she attempted to make a left turn on to Date Palm Drive, said Gray. The second motorcycle rider, the victim’s 61-year-old husband, was taken to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both were part-time residents of Lake Havasu City and were reportedly professional test riders.
Gray said both motorcyclists were wearing protective riding gear and a helmet.
