Kingman, Arizona – The Kingman Golden Valley Association of Realtors’ outreach committee has been meeting to discuss the many community projects that they would like to get behind and a new ice skating rink is one of them. A couple of non-profits and local businesses are researching the logistics and overall cost and taking to the public’s opinion on viability and naming of the new rink. As of this article the facebook post has reached over 22k people. The details of the project are still in very early stages but here’s what we know so far. The rink would be a “Real” ice rink including a Zamboni that would groom the ice daily. The rink would start as a temporary structure open during the holiday season, but discussions of a permanent structure to allow concerts and outdoor expos already are being discussed. Location of the rink are still being negotiated with the City of Kingman, and we anticipate it being discussed at upcoming Economic Development Commission and City Council meetings.

This is a great idea as long as you do both ! But the location is not a good place . Your going to take the beautiful park away? I think maybe along 66 in these Empty lots some where
I am all for this idea!! I remember when we had a roller rink years ago I believe it is a super way to have family time exercise and community gatherings as well. The idea we may be able to do both is clever and exciting! Thanks BEE for this sweet news!!!
I think a skating rink is a wonderful idea there is absolutely nothing to do in Kingman I grew up roller skating I’m 50 years old and I would still love to go roller skating but there’s nowhere to go
I’m a retired pro figure skater an I was thrilled to here that an ice rink is going to be built. I miss being on my blades an I really would love to teach skating
