New Kingman Police Chief Named

-Chief DeVries Retiring After 40+ Years in Law Enforcement-

KINGMAN, Ariz. – City Manager Ron Foggin is pleased to announce the selection of Kingman Police Department Assistant Police Chief Rusty Cooper to serve as the new Kingman Police Chief.

“I know Rusty will bring new ideas and views to our discussions and decisions. I have every confidence that Rusty will be a great team member that will build on the exceptional organization Chief DeVries has been developing for the past 17 years, while in Kingman,” City Manager Ron Foggin said. Foggin also thanked those people who helped in the Kingman Police Chief selection process, which included Senior Leadership Team members and some council members.

Rusty will begin serving as the Kingman Police Chief Monday, April 27, 2020, as Chief DeVries’s last day as Kingman Police Chief is April 30, 2020.
