The Kingman Police Department is investigating an Officer Involved Shooting involving the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) that occurred on Wednesday, December 20th at about 9:00am, in the area of 3rd Street and Mineral Road in Dolan Springs.  MCSO detectives where in the area searching for Edward Charles Angelo, 27 of Dolan Springs in reference to his involvement in several violent crimes and outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.  Angelo was located on an all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) and fled from detectives until the ATV became disabled, when Angelo fled on foot.  During the foot pursuit Angelo fired multiple rounds at the detectives prompting the detectives to return fire.  Additional MCSO personnel arrived on scene,  when Angelo was located in a vehicle a short time later over a mile from the original crime scene.  Investigators learned that when Angelo entered the vehicle he attempted to force the driver, at gun point, to drive away and evade deputies.  The driver, a Dolan Springs resident, refused and slammed on the brakes, allowing deputies to take Angelo into custody without further incident.  Fortunately, no injuries occurred in this incident.   Angelo was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on the following charges: Attempted 2nd Degree Murder x2, Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer x2, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon x2, Misconduct Involving Weapons x3, Kidnapping and Possession of Narcotic Drugs.  The investigation is on-going.
