Officer-Involved Shooting in Mohave Valley

On Saturday, February 8th, at approximately 3:56 PM, deputies from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check in the 8200 block of Green Valley Rd. in Mohave Valley. Upon their arrival, a male subject confronted the deputies, pointing a handgun in their direction. In response, a deputy discharged their weapon, striking the subject, who then surrendered.

The subject received immediate medical attention at the scene and was subsequently transported to a medical facility for further treatment. Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department have been called to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the officer-involved shooting, as is standard protocol when such incidents occur.

The deputy involved in the shooting has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. There were no injuries to deputies or civilians during this incident. The name of the deputy involved is not being released at this time.
