Officer Osborne Retires

One of the Bullhead City Police Department’s finest will hang up his helmet and handcuffs today. Congratulations on your retirement, Officer Dale Osborne!

Officer Osborne began his career in law enforcement in Southern California in 1981 and joined the Bullhead City Police Department in 1986, after a short time with the Parker, AZ Police Department.

Officer Osborne has spent the majority of his 32+ years as a motor officer in the Traffic Section.  He served as a Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, Armorer and Accident Reconstructionist. Officer Osborne was also on our dive team and was a past member of the Tactical Response Unit. He was named Police Officer of the Year in 2009.

Officer Osborne has been involved in training many of the officers who are working here today. His calm demeanor when faced with stressful situations is an example of excellence for future officers to achieve.

“Dale Osborne emulates the values, ethics, compassion and professionalism that it takes to provide the community the type of law enforcement service that they deserve. I am thankful for everything Dale has done for this community and department,” said Police Chief Brian Williamson.  “He will be missed but has certainly left his mark.”

He plans to enjoy his retirement traveling around the country. Thank you for your service!
