Dog Bite
Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare (ACW) officers are looking for a dog for standard quarantine procedures and want to remind the public to use caution when approaching stray and/or unfamiliar dogs.
ACW officers responded to Community Park on Saturday, July 10th at 12 p.m. for a report of a dog bite. A 36 year old female reported that she saw a man walking his dog on a leash on the beach. She approached the dog’s owner and asked if she could pet the dog. The man stated he was not sure how his dog would react. The woman reported that when she held out her hand for the dog to smell her, it attacked and she was bit on the upper thigh and buttocks.
The dog is described as being a medium sized male pit bull mix with longer tan and white fur and a red collar, estimated to be about nine years old. The dog’s owner is described as an older white male with a red Ford SUV.
