On Monday, May 29^th at about 9:00pm, the Kingman Police Department arrested Gene Eukariah Barnes, 27 of Kingman on the felony charges of Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer and Resisting Arrest.  Officers conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the 3200blk of Stockton Hill Road and while speaking with Barnes noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view.  When Barnes was asked to exit the vehicle, he fled on foot and after a short chase Barnes resisted arrest by fighting with the officer.  Barnes was taken into custody with out further incident and was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility for the listed charges.
