POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY/ WEAPONS OFFENSE- KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Glenn Donald Simpson Jr., 37 of Kingman, for Theft/ Control of Stolen Property, Possession of a Weapon by Prohibited Person, Possession/ Use of a weapon during a Drug Offense, Possession of a Defaced Weapon, Dangerous Drug Possession, and Drug Paraphernalia Possession, all felonies.
On Sunday (3/14) at approximately 3 AM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an unreadable license plate. Deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Simpson, and a female passenger. Simpson advised deputies he did not an ID on him and he believed his license was suspended. When asked if there were any weapons in the vehicle, Simpson advised he had a firearm in a shoulder holster on his person. The weapon was removed and Simpson was asked to step out of the vehicle.
A records check of the vehicle revealed the vehicle was stolen. Further investigation revealed that Simpson’s license was suspended and he was a prohibited possessor. A pat search of Simpson revealed 1.1 grams of methamphetamine in his front pocket. The weapon removed from Simpson’s possession was found to have no serial number or make or model markings. Glenn Donald Simpson Jr. was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
