On Saturday, December 28, 2019, at approximately 10:25 AM, multiple Bullhead Fire units were dispatched to the report of a structure fire on the 1300 block of Ramar Rd. The first arriving unit reported a mobile home structure with active flames and smoke showing. After quickly confirming that all occupants had evacuated the residence Battalion Chief McCabe arrived on the scene assuming command and directed the incoming crews. Captain K. Geyer was able to successfully remove one of the occupant’s dogs from inside of the home. Unfortunately, two other dogs were unaccounted for and one feline was found deceased. As firefighters worked aggressively to knock down the blaze, medics treated two females on the scene for possible smoke inhalation. Both females were transported to WARMC for further evaluation.
As firefighters began, the overhaul process members from the CERT Team (Community Emergency Response Team) were requested along with fire investigators. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time, and no other injuries were reported.
