Be Drug Free!

Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free – Red Ribbon Week (Oct. 23 – 31)! The Bullhead City Police Department is holding a coloring contest to celebrate
Red Ribbon Week, in place of the annual in-person Walk Away from Drugs and 5K event, to promote social engagement and comply with physical
distancing recommendations. The Red Ribbon campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program nationwide. The campaign began in 1985 when drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena. This incident started the tradition to display red ribbons as a symbol of intolerance toward the use of drugs.

We encourage the community continue to take a stand against drugs and get our children involved! One lucky winner will be awarded a $50 gift card to
Wal-Mart, donated by Mohave Area Partnership Promoting Educated Decisions (MAPPED*)! Blank coloring sheets will be available for free pick up in the
Police Department lobby, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and posted on the MAPPED and Bullhead City Police Department Facebook pages for those with a printer at home. The winner will be announced during Red Ribbon Week. Full contest details are available on Facebook or by contacting Lorrie Duggins via email: [email protected] or phone (928)715-0222.
