LAUGHLIN—A set of human remains found over the weekend may belong to a man who reportedly went missing last week.
A post by the Mohave County Search & Rescue Facebook page indicts the missing man’s human remains may have been found about a mile and a half from the area where an abandoned vehicle was found.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department requested an agency assist from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue unit to perform a search of an area north of Laughlin after an abandoned vehicle was found.
Earlier this month, a personal post had circulated on social media sites asking for the public’s help in locating a missing male and his vehicle—a late 00’s model Mustang.
The vehicle was later found and law enforcement agencies were quickly notified.
The identity of the remains have not been released. The Clark County Coroners Office will determine cause of death. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
