Residential Duplex Fire

At approximately 10:15 am on Friday, November 27, 2020, a fire was reported by the occupant in the 2600 block of Tonto Drive. The occupants discovered a fire on second story patio and evacuated the residence. The first arriving Fire Officer reported that the entire second story was completely involved in fire. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire within 35 minutes.

The occupants in both units evacuated safely. There were no reported injuries. CERT responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the
firefighters. Crews remained on the scene an additional 5 hours conducting fire investigation and overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
