Residential Fire

At approximately 6:45 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019, a fire was reported by the homeowner in the 500 block of Acoma Blvd. N. The occupants discovered smoke coming from the roof and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported smoke coming from attic vents. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire within 14 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. CERT responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene an additional 5 hours conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
