Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, a Battalion Chief, and a Division Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in 35 minutes. Eleven CERT members responded to the fire to assist with Rehab duties for the firefighters and Desert Hills Fire responded one Engine Company.  Crews remained on the scene an additional three hours conducting salvage operations and investigating the cause of the fire. An engine company stood fire watch for an additional three hours. Fire Investigators confirmed the cause of the fire to be a propane barbeque on the porch of the residence.
