Residential Garage Fire

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, a fire was reported by the homeowner in the 3000 block of Indian Peak Dr. The occupants discovered smoke in the garage and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported light smoke coming from the garage with a light fixture on fire. Three Engine Companies, one Truck Company, a Division Chief of Operations, along with two Battalion Chiefs responded to the fire and gained control of the fire within 9 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. Crews remained on scene an additional 50 minutes conducting salvage operations and investigation. The cause of the fire was electrical.
