Residential House Fire

At approximately 12:22 a.m. on Sunday May 16, 2021, a fire was reported by the homeowner in the 3900 block of Smokey Drive. The occupants discovered the back patio on fire and smoke in the residence. The occupants and their dogs evacuated the house safely.

The first arriving fire company reported smoke coming from attic vents and fire on the rear patio. Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire within 31 minutes. There were no reported injuries to any firefighters. Crews remained on scene an additional two hours and thirty minutes conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
