Monday May 11, 2020 at 1:44PM the Kingman Regional Dispatch Center reviewed a report of a structure fire in the 2600 block of Leroy Ave. Engines 311, E321, E221, E231, Battalion 2, Battalion 3 and Chief 207 responded to the residential structure fire. E311 arrived on scene and found a small single story residential structure with heavy smoke coming from under the mobile home structure, and established command. Crews instigated an aggressive exterior attack under the structure, exposing the fire by pulling the skirting away. Crews were able to get an immediate knock down of the fire. American Medical Response (AMR) responded for the home’s lone occupant
complaining of smoke inhalation; the patient refused to be transported to the hospital after treatment. Crews completed salvage and overhaul. No firefighters were hurt in the incident. The home is a total loss; loss estimates are unavailable at this time. The fire’s cause is not conclusive, but the cause is listed as accidental and not of a suspicious nature.
