Residential Structure Fire July 28th, 2023

On July 28th at approx. 1930 hrs, Northern Arizona Fire District (NAFD) responded to the 4400
block of Pinal St. for a reported structure fire. Units arrived on scene and found moderate smoke
coming from the garage of the home. E311 quickly deployed hoselines and made entry through
both garage doors and extinguished the fire. The homeowner on scene stated that the fire started
accidentally due to improperly discarding cigarette ashes and butts that quickly spread to nearby
contents inside the garage. The fire was brought under control and units remained on scene for 2
hours with no injuries reported.
In total, NAFD responded with 1 Battalion Chief, 3 Engines, 1 Water Tender, and 1 Rehab Unit.
Kingman Fire Department responded with 1 Ladder Truck, 1 Battalion Chief and 1 Fire
Investigator. Additional agencies that assisted with this incident include Mohave County Sheriff’s
Office, River Medical, and Unisource.
