Residential Structure Fire Tuesday, July 4, 2023

On Tuesday, July 5 at approx. 6:38 P.M. Kingman Fire Department received a call for
service to a fire in the 3800 block of N Roosevelt St. Units arrived on scene to what
started as a vegetation fire in the field. The fire quickly spread to the structure located on
the property which involved 4 connected apartments. All of the occupants and several of
the animals were able to evacuate. One cat was located inside of a closet by fire
personnel and care was provided and another cat remains unaccounted. No fire personnel
or civilian injuries were reported. In total 4 families were displaced and Red Cross was
notified for immediate assistance. Thank you to Northern Arizona Fire District, AMR,
and Kingman Police Department for their assistance. The cause of the fire is under
investigation.
