Dr. Tim Richard, Superintendent, CRUHSD

In order to best meet the needs of our students, we are restructuring our administrative team at Mohave High School. Today, I met with Mrs. Covert and she will use her experience and skill set to serve our students in a new capacity next school year. Mrs. Covert will need to spend the rest of this school year transitioning into this new role. Therefore, effective today, I will be assuming the Principal duties at Mohave High School.

Our new administrative structure will help to support the many exciting changes we have planned for next school year. These changes include, but are not limited to:

  • Every student will be issued their own laptop.
  • Every student will have access to virtual tutoring 24 hours, 7 days a week.
  • Every student will have extra academic interventions or enrichment opportunities during the school day.
  • All of our teachers will be trained in the best student engagement strategies in the world.

These are just a few examples of how we will fulfill our Collective Commitments and become a Professional Learning Community. It takes a special kind of leadership to create the right culture to make these things happen. Fortunately, we have some aspiring leaders and the best teachers in Mohave County on our team. Together, with the support of our community, they will help me to encourage our students as they win in Academics, the Arts, and in Athletics.

Sincerely,

Dr. Tim Richard

Superintendent
