On Thursday (6/17) at 9:15 PM, The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a robbery at a gas station located in the 14000 block of N. Pierce Ferry Road in Dolan Springs, AZ. The employee at the gas station reported that a female entered the store and insinuated that she was armed with a gun and stole approximately 16 lottery tickets. The female demanded that the gas pumps be activated, at which point she fueled up a vehicle and left the scene. Deputies and Detectives responded to the business and began to investigate the incident.

During the investigation, Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers received a report of a traffic accident on Interstate 40 near Kingman. It was reported that after the accident, a female exited her wrecked vehicle and attempted to steal a citizen’s vehicle. The suspect threatened that she had a gun and would shoot the victim and then ran into the desert. A perimeter was set up and a search was implemented with Kingman Ranger, DPS, Kingman Police Department, and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and K9s attempting to locate the suspect. The suspect was located and taken into custody by DPS. The investigation revealed this female was the same suspect who had robbed the gas station in Dolan

Springs earlier in the evening. The vehicle she was driving was reported stolen out of Las Vegas in a strong- arm carjacking. The suspect was identified as Katlynn Marie, 38 of Phoenix, AZ. She was turned over to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman for charges of felony robbery and a felony arrest warrant out of Maricopa County. The robbery case is still under investigation and additional charges may be pending from the Arizona Department of Public Safety related to incident that occurred on the interstate.
