BULLHEAD CITY—An RV was deemed a total loss by fire officials after it caught fire Wednesday morning.

Bullhead City Fire spokeswoman Lori Viles said multiple fire units were called around 6:45 a.m. to the Sunrise Adventures Resort, 775 Bullhead Parkway, for a report of an RV on fire.

Arriving units found a fifth-wheel style RV fully involved and worked quickly to secure a water supply to extinguish the blaze, said Viles.

The elderly owner of the RV was able to escape the blaze without injury.

He reportedly told fire officials the fire appeared to have started near the refrigerator, which fire investigators were able to confirm, said Viles.

The American Red Cross was notified for assistance.
