School Bus Accident Update

The Bullhead City Police Department arrested a man after a minor impact accident involving a school bus.
This morning (9/27) at about 8 a.m., emergency crews responded to Highway 95 and Silver Creek Road. It was reported that a man driving a blue Geo Prizm pulled out of the Lowe’s parking lot in front of a school bus. The bus had 23 students on board, but no injuries were reported. Paramedics responded and checked on the children as a precaution. All parents were contacted.
The at-fault driver, Ronald Duane Shaltz, 65, was cited for failure to control to avoid an accident, no valid driver’s license, no insurance, no current registration and driving on a suspended driver’s license. He was also arrested for an outstanding marijuana possession misdemeanor warrant out of Bullhead City Municipal Court. He was seen in court and released.
