BULLHEAD CITY The Bullhead City School District and Bullhead City Police Department are investigating a break-in and criminal damage to property at Bullhead City Middle School on Hancock Road.  Friday night’s incident occurred after all school personnel had left the campus.

Security cameras captured two juveniles wearing large backpacks entering the school through a fenced area.  Once inside, they sprayed part of the cafeteria with a fire extinguisher after rummaging through supplies belonging to the student council.  They also tossed food supplies on the floor.

Alarms detected the chemical residue from the fire extinguishers.  The juveniles quickly left the school before first responders arrived, but not before checking to see if any classroom doors were open; they were not.  Video shows the individuals exiting toward the east, where a BMX event was being held.

In addition to using their cellphones as flashlights, both appeared to text and record during the incident.  School and law enforcement officials hope that social media messaging and some identifiable clothing may help pinpoint the individuals.  Both wore hoodies and ripped jeans.  One of the hoodies had lettering partially covered by a backpack, possibly “Death Row” records apparel.

School custodial staff cleaned the cafeteria over the weekend, and there were no interruptions when classes resumed Monday morning.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Bullhead City Police Department at 928-763-9200.
