BULLHEAD CITY – Registration has begun for students attending the Bullhead City Elementary (BCESD) and Colorado River Union High School (CRUHSD) Districts for the new school year, which starts August 1.
Registration forms for both districts are available at www.crsk12.org and clicking on “schools,” then “registration.” District officials said it saves time during registration to have the forms filled out in advance. The website also has a complete list of required documents.
For Desert Valley, Diamondback and Sunrise Elementary Schools, as well as Bullhead City Middle School and Fox Creek Junior High School, parents may register during regular business hours. However, Bullhead City Middle School will be closed July 18 and 25 for training.
Free preschool is available on a limited basis at Coyote Canyon, Diamondback and Sunrise Schools for children who will be four by September 1. Applications for that grant-funded program are available at the Coyote Canyon office on Lakeside Drive between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The three CRUHSD high schools have varying registration schedules by grade level.
Freshman registration has already begun at Mohave High in Bullhead City. Sophomores will register Tuesday, July 17; juniors will register Wednesday, July 18 and seniors will register Thursday, July 19. Those registrations are in the old gym from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Students new to the district should register July 23 and 24 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the Mohave guidance office. Any student unable to register during their scheduled time may do so on July 25 and 26 in the guidance office.
At River Valley High in Mohave Valley, freshman registration is Tuesday, July 18; while sophomore, junior and senior registration is July 18-19. All times are 9:00 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. If a family has two or more students in different grades, they may all register at once rather than at different times.
The CRUHSD Academy non-traditional high school has moved to the Coyote Canyon campus in Bullhead City. Registration for grades nine through twelve will be July 18-20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Coyote Canyon library. Late registration will be July 30 through August 1 at the same times.
Information about upcoming open houses for the elementary districts and freshman orientation for the high schools will be posted shortly.
Additional information is available from each school during regular business hours.
