SHOOTING INVESTIGATION- KINGMAN

On Sunday (6/19) at 5:36 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the area of Anson Smith Rd. and White Cliffs Rd. in reference to a shooting that had just occurred. Upon arrival, all parties had fled the scene. Deputies were ultimately able to make contact with the reporting party and victims involved in this incident. The investigation revealed that the parties involved in this incident had been involved in an altercation the previous day in the 3100 block of N. Stockton Hill Rd. The parties involved in the earlier incident had agreed to meet at today’s incident location to resolve their differences. One of the persons involved in Saturday’s incident had called a couple of friends to also come along to be there in the event that things got out of hand. Upon arriving, one of the subjects, a sixteen year old juvenile, fired multiple rounds towards the victims and continued firing rounds as they drove away.

Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle involved in this incident in the 3600 block of N. Willow Rd. where it had had been abandoned in a vacant lot. A casing was found on the windshield wiper of the vehicle. The vehicle was removed pending the service of a search warrant. Later in the evening, Deputies were able to locate two of the suspects involved, one of which was identified as the shooter, a sixteen year old juvenile, and Juan Ipina-Rodas, 20 of Kingman. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident. Detectives with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office responded and served a search warrant on a residence located in the 3900 block of Packard Ave. Deputies later located the third and final suspect, Ali Ayad Almayahi, 20 of Kingman, in the 3400 block of N. Stockton Hill Rd. where he was taken into custody without incident.

The sixteen year old male juvenile was booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Facility for Disorderly Conduct with a Weapon, Aggravated Assault and Drive by Shooting.
Juan Ipina-Rodas was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Center for Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct with a Weapon and Drive by Shooting.

Ali Ayad Almayahi was booked for Hindering Prosecution, Aggravated Assault and Disorderly Conduct with a Weapon.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
