Small Fire at Super 8 Hotel

At approximately 11:15 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, an employee at the Super 8 Hotel, on London Bridge Road, reported a fire. The employee discovered smoke in the outside wall, alerted the Fire Department, and pulled the fire alarm to evacuate the occupants. The first arriving fire company reported smoke and fire coming from the wall on the southwest side of the building in a small area approximately 4’ x 4’.

Three Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire within three minutes. The occupants evacuated the hotel safely. There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene an additional hour conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
