LAKE HAVASU CITY–To increase safety measures for the growing number of children attending school in the area, Lake Havasu City is installing 25 miles per hour speed limit signs on McCulloch Boulevard South, between Bonanza Drive and McCulloch Court starting Monday, November 19.
The speed limit is reduced from 35 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour in both directions for this immediate area. Reducing the speed limit promotes the safety of students attending Calvary Christian Academy and motorists traveling in the area, especially during the morning and afternoon school drop-off and pick-up times.
Warning signs alerting motorists of the change in the speed limit and an increased police presence are in place for the next few weeks to alert motorists of the transition. As always, motorists should use caution and obey all traffic signs when traveling through school zone areas.
